Secure Your Load is run Robin Abel. We initially thought National Secure Your Load Day idea was mostly about keeping the highways free of litter & trash.
Robin’s life was altered by an incident that nearly killed her daughter Maria. She would prefer to live a quiet life in her garden with her dogs, Mac and Jane, but is compelled to share this story in order prevent future tragedies caused by unsecured loads and road debris.
On a personal note, I’ve been involved in two incidents myself. One where I poorly secured the load that almost caused an injury and another where I was almost hit by a large piece of steel that was aimed right at my windshield.
