Since 2019, National CleanUp Day and EARTHDAY.ORG have teamed up with grassroots groups and community members to clean parks, neighborhoods, and waterways in all 50 states. We began with about 3.000 locations and quickly grew into a global movement, building an army of volunteers and making a visible dent in trash and litter. Today, millions of people take part in Earth Day cleanups every year, with millions more joining in September for World Cleanup Day.
