The TrashTag Challenge has gone viral

Steven Reinhold is one of the original creators of the hashtag #trashtag, which encourages people to post pictures picking up trash in the environment. Started a few years ago, it went viral a week ago when a Facebook user named Byron posted a before and after picture of a trash cleanup, and challenged bored teens to get outside and do something for the planet.

National CleanUp Day has partnered with Steven to promote the #trashtag. We asked Steven to do a video for Earth Day when the COVID-19 virus changed Earth Day cleanup plans. The TrashTag Challenge is global and read about it at CNN, CBSNEWS, Insider, Fox News, The Guardian, BBC, Forbes, Global News, Huff Post, Darby Communications, and many others. Trashtag has an estimated five million participants monthly.
