The Team

Steve Reinhold

Steven is a life-long resident and advocate of North Carolina. He has traveled far and wide but feels fortunate to find his home in the Appalachian Mountains. His love of adventure was sparked during a successful quest to complete the South Beyond Six Thousand Challenge (SB6K) which involves climbing every peak in the Southern Appalachians over 6,000ft. In recent years Steven has served as an ambassador for outdoor companies like UCO Gear, Gerber Gear and Thule. He has also served as an ambassador for Big City Mountaineers (BCM) and their Summit for Someone program. During his time with BCM he joined fundraising climbs of Mt. Whitney, The Grand Teton, Mt. Shasta, Mt. Langley, The Boulder Traverse and Longs Peak. On these climbs he trained and worked with elite guiding outfits such as Jackson Hole Mountain Guides, Shasta Mountain Guides, The Colorado Mountain School and Sierra Mountaineering International. His passion is introducing newcomers to the wonders of adventure and he looks forward to showing you around his “back yard!”

Steve Yocom

Steve is an Avid Outdoorsmen, Backpacker and Fly fishing Addict! He has 10 years of backpacking and wilderness experience under his belt, with 5 years experience Fly fishing here in the Blue Ridge Mountains. He has spent most of his 5 years here exploring new trails and revisiting his favorites with his two german shepherds. Steve also happens to be a professional photographer, his love for wild places and photography have taken him all over North America. You may have seen some of his work in publications such as Backpacker Magazine, Blue Ridge Outdoors and The Western North Carolina Adventure Guide. He is excited to offer trips that will be documented with his camera and leaving our clients with memories to hold onto for a lifetime.
