Planning a small community cleanup is fun and enjoyable. It costs almost nothing and helps your community. Whether you want to cleanup a beach, street, your block, a trail or even a mountain peak…we are here to support. Planning a larger event is much more complex. Support your city or a local nonprofit. Your city leaders should be happy to support a more vibrant community and may even want to do a National CleanUp Day Proclamation (see video). Your local non-profit, or affiliate of a national nonprofit like Keep America Beautiful or Main Street spends a great deal of time finding sites that need to be cleaned up, obtaining permits, organizing supplies, disposing of waste/recyclables, and reporting the results back to the City or Municipality. Join with them or encourage them to have a cleanup in September.

National CleanUp Day focuses on reducing the amount of litter/trash in the outdoors. Talk to others about your passion for a better community and consider ideas to reduce potential waste at home or business. Are You In?
